Proposals
Art For Awareness would like to work with you! We are currently seeking creative partners to propose productions for our upcoming season. Please read the details below to see if this is the opportunity for you!
AFA has a history of producing high-quality works of art with a social justice mandate. We pair each production thematically with a local charity which helps us with research and promotion, and to whom we donate a portion of our profits (for example, NEXT TO NORMAL - a musical dealing with schizophrenia - partnered with the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, and RENT - which focused on the AIDS epidemic of the early 1990's - partnered with the Peterborough AIDS Resource Network). Your production need not match a specific charity one-for-one, but AFA's mandate stipulates that your art should be used to raise awareness and funds for a worthy cause. Perhaps you'd like to perform Dr. Seuss's SEUSSICAL to benefit a children's library, or YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN to benefit an animal shelter? Or are you developing an original work? Would you like to hold a workshop or need help contacting more creative types to further your work? We want to help you with your big plans and we hope to do more than put on a great show - we want to give back to the community!
Please complete the form below. If you have any supporting documents, please email them to us at artforawareness.afa@gmail.com
