Celebrate the holidays with AFA’s Big Band Christmas!

Art for Awareness is proud to present the Kawartha Jazz Ensemble, featuring 20 musicians!  Hosted by Danny Bronson, this evening of holiday music is sure to entertain. Guest singers include Beau Dixon, Kate Suhr, Geoff Bemrose, Paul Crough, Kate Brioux & Marsala Lukianchuk.

Partial proceeds go to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hamper fund.

AFA & The Peterborough Dance Collective, in collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee are proud to announce a special remounting of Erasing the Stigma at Showplace Performance Centre in Peterborough.

Originally produced in October of 2013, Erasing the Stigma seeks to normalize the stories of ordinary Canadians living with a variety of mental health issues. Combining live music, dance, and video projections, Erasing the Stigma is a one-of-a-kind theatrical spectacle.

Art for Awareness is proud to announce a condensed performance of Erasing the Stigma to coincide with Clara Hughes Big Bike Ride for Mental Health Awareness on Saturday March 22, 2014 at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough.

Clara Hughes is a six-time Olympic medallist and the national spokesperson for the Bell Let's Talk mental health initiative. On March 14, 2014, Clara will begin Clara’s Big Ride for Bell Let’s Talk to help end the stigma around mental illness.
